Nain\u2019s last serious outbreak of TB was just in 2015. In January, 15-year-old <a class=\"\" title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/north\/tb-still-a-killer-in-nunavut-as-health-workers-and-politicians-struggle-to-stop-the-outbreaks-1.4559587\">Ileen Kooneeliusie<\/a>, from Qikiqtarjuak, on Baffin Island, died. The screening program undertaken in the weeks following revealed 10 per cent of the population of Qikiqtarjuak to be infected. Across Nunavut,<a class=\"\" title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/north\/tuberculosis-clinic-qikiqtarjuaq-finished-1.4593101\"> 17 <\/a>of the 25 communities have cases of tuberculosis.
